Great food, ate there for years. Says temp closed for remodel. Hope they reopen.

This is by far the worst dining experience I have had with my family. The staff charged my one year old daughter twice what was listed on the menu because they said she wasted her food!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!?? They charged more for everyone until I called them out on it, and the server we had (older woman) was rude, belittling and overly unprofessional. They jacked our sales tax so they are (rounding up and charging us more than the sales tax for eagan)....overall, DO NOT GO HERE! THE FOOD IS COLD, TASTE LIKE RUBBER AND THE SERVICE IS POOR! I am also filing a report with the BBB because of how offensive she was to my infant daughter for apparently, as the staff said, "WASTED HER FOOD". AVOID THIS PLACE!

I eat here at least once per week. Great food, service, and value.

Really bad

Easily my favorite Chinese place in Eagan. I go all the time with my family and it's the only place we've found where the food doesn't taste fake. The servers know us by name and know our orders, making it an enjoyable experience every time. Never had a bad experience there yet. Their Lo Mein is phenomenal. Definitely ordering some tonight!

We usually call ahead and order food. It is quixkly prepared and always hot and fresh. Their chow mein is amazing and you get a lot of food in your order. Their lemon chicken is excellent as well Great customer service too.

Food had been out for a long time. Soups and sauces had filmy skins over them.

If I could give them Zero stars I would. The food is terrible. ABSOLUTELY garbage. I will never go back! I never leave bad reviews, but this time I really had to. The staff were rude and I don't know if the health inspectors even know this place exists. Don't waste your time or your money!

First time their. Had the buffet. Food was fresh and good. Service was very good and friendly. Just like most Chinese resteraunts, I wish they didnt use MSG. I would go back again but not for the buffet. I want to try the PEK duck.

Went there for lunch with a recommendation from a co worker. The food was greasy, blend and old. Probably not going back ever again unless co worker wants to go when it his turn to pick out the lunch spot.

I tried it tonight for the first time. Tasted great. Decent prices.

I walked inside and it smelled of mold and stale cigarettes. I did not order any food and walked right back out. I'm not saying it is bad, I did not try it.

Not even 1 star. The chief is frendly and kind. But the reception lady is horrible. I simly asked her if she may have a suggestion because our family wanted to try new manu. Then, she were so aggressively to repond. She said how she possiblely could know what kinds of of foods we want. She yelled at me back through phone. I was so shock. I wont never look this restaurant even if I like the chief.

Wow, worst chicken I've ever had. It reminded me of this bad Chinese restaurant in New York where they got busted for using pigeons. The "chicken" was really hard to chew and stringy and looked way too dark to be a normal piece of chicken. Definitely will never eat there again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Me and my family go all the time. The service is wonderful! They are always there to satisfy their customers. Their food is DELICIOUS! Their menu prices are great and good size portions to split witht the family. The buffet is great, obviously if you go there at the near end of their lunch/dinner buffet it might not be as fresh, but you can def ask them to make some and let them know it isn't fresh for you. They are always happy to please their customers and have no problem with it! I love this place and will continue to go there! :) I also have 2 little ones so they are happy to give me the booth by the fish so my kids could be at "awe" while we eat and they love little kids.

2:30 no food on the buffet what a joke

Hong wong is amazing. Great service and food. can't beat their chick chow mein and chicken fried rice. Me and my girlfriend Emily have been coming here for over a decade so they know us by name and they are always super friendly. I don't believe anyone's review that says bad service. lol

I've been going to this place longer than I can remember and the food hasn't changed at all. The staff is always friendly and they will special make your order to the T! Wontons are incredible! Make sure you order some of their house sauce. So delicious.

We tried to order dinner tonight. After being unable to understand the woman repeating back our order, she put a male on the phone who said "What do you want?" After reading back our order and finding the previous woman got it wrong, the male said "I don't have time for this, if you want to order come inside." and hung up the phone. Extremely rude service.

Worst experience ever. Will never go back. This is the second time they blew our order and had no interest in correcting it without charging extra. They did, however, want to argue about it. What a terrible excuse for a resturant!

Very small portion for the price!! Food was very bland and cold. Ordered take out and they forgot the egg rolls. Told me to pick them up without offering compensation. I was bringing the meal for special occasion. Very disappointing!!!!!!!!!

I guess that this is a place that knows its clientele, and the clientele want bland, flavorless, poorly cooked food that presents as chinese food. It isn't just not spicy (I put their chili flake oil on the food by the spoonful- it added nothing. No heat, no flavor...) it really doesn't have flavor. Vegetables are cooked to the point of becoming mush, proteins tend to be chewier; texture is the only spectrum upon which there is variation. If that's what you want- then this is your place.

No buffet so we decided to sit and eat for our first time. Very friendly wait staff, and the food was excellent. If I'm in the area I'll stop in again.

My father and I ate here several months ago, and we won't be back. While the place appeared clean at least, the food on the buffet was bland, overly salty, and the selection was pitiful -- much smaller than any Chinese buffet I've ever encountered before. I'd almost rather go hungry.

Well we stopped in around 12:30 today (Saturday) and the place was empty. Stood around at the front for a while waiting to be seated but no one came. So we left and never got to try the food...

It is better to fast than eat in this resturant. The food here is the worst I ever had. I think even uncooked chicken,cows and fishes taste better than the food here. The soup tastes like some animal's vomit. I felt like vomitting after eating it. The ambiance is as aweful as the food. I will never ever visit this resturant even if you give me 10000$

Hong Wong is probably the best place in Eagan that I have found. We tried the sesame chicken and the pork chow mein. Now I'm not a chow mein person but this was really good. I would recommend Hong Wong.

Tried once and will not come back. Now I understand why nobody was inside eating. I got the buffet and it seemed like the food was sitting overnight. Tried about everything to 'give it a try' and was disappointed every time. Soup, rice, chicken, noodles, wontons... Nothing was great. Fast service and quiet inside.

The food was very good with the right amount of spice. Our waitress was super friendly and made a few suggestions which was both helpful and tasty!

I thought the Egg Drop soup was good, but the texture of it being vastly different than usual, my wife couldn't enjoy it. The Sesame Beef was bland, served in a soup of sauce, and the beef itself was so soggy and gelatinous it didn't even require chewing. We really wanted to like our take-out tonight, but remained wishing we'd gone to Wendy's instead. =( All that being said, the Egg Rolls were great.
